The Great Lakes Mining and Investment Conference is organized by the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR), an intergovernmental organization composed of 12 Member States in the African Great Lakes. Its aim is to resolve the challenges at the intersection of mineral resource governance and peace and security by increasing regional cooperation and promoting sustainable development. This Conference makes a significant contribution to an integrated and prosperous Great Lakes Region.
